ecobeco is a new, "green" company that advises consumers on a whole home approach to being more eco-friendly. We focus on: 1) ways to save money on utility bills by reducing energy and water use; 2) ways to improve the interior environment by focusing on temperature, humidity, and the quality of air and water inside the home; and 3) ways to reduce the customer's environmental impact. ecobeco turns this advice into action by providing the products and services customers need to change their homes and their habits. ecobeco helps our customers save energy, money and the environment.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a few enthusiastic individuals to become part of our team as ecoAdvocates. The ecoAdvocate is both the sales maker and service provider. You provide in-home ecoAssessments to home owners. You identify and develop sales leads by participating in community events and creating word of mouth.

ecobeco's marketing team will also develop programs and partnerships to create demand for your services. We will train you on our proprietary home assessment and provide you with the equipment and marketing materials you need to secure a steady stream of customers.

ecobeco will service the entire DC-metro region.

Job Requirements:

• Car: You must have a valid driver's license and provide your own transportation to customer locations (you will be reimbursed for mileage). You will need to make regular visits to our warehouse location in Montgomery County to pick up supplies.
• Mobility: During the home visit, you will be expected to visit all interior rooms and the attic to obtain a full visual inspection of the home, which may include climbing ladders and/or stairs. You will NOT need to go on roofs.
• Some physical strength: You will need to carry approximately 5-7 pounds of equipment during the inspection, and you may need to carry product samples from your car to the home.

Qualifications:

• Great verbal communication skills and listening skills
• Sales experience a plus
• Energy Audit (RESNET or BPI or Home Energy Tune-Up) or Home Inspection experience a plus
• Computer literacy

Compensation: ecobeco provides a base salary, a per visit commission, and bonus opportunities for full-time employees. Full-time ecoAdvocates will earn up to $60K depending on experience and performance. ecobeco provides benefits including health and dental coverage.
